Fortuna Star was the yacht on which I ‘cut my teeth’ as a Captain. It was an incredibly intense program and was shared between 4 co-owners, as well as being available for charter. This resulted in us achieving over 30 weeks per season with guests onboard. We cruised throughout the South of France, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy with 2 crew performing all tasks onboard, including the 24 hour turnarounds between trips. This was a high pressure environment in which I thrived and really learnt how manage a charter operation and structure the program to accommodate the requirements of our schedule.

Winters were spent refitting the vessel to a strict budget and to ensure we remained the flagship of the company fleet, and to ensure every aspect was considered to prevent any unforeseen issues interrupting the upcoming season.
